This is one issue that every member of Parliament agrees on so why is the timetable so slow? Parliament wants the ban in place by June 2018. Why not immediate?
The only people who gain by the delay are the scammers.
Banning it is great in theory, but the scammers will still operate after the deadline playing off people’s ignorance and their needs to be additional controls built into the transfer process.
Perhaps a two tier process – requiring much more due diligence for transfers to non mainstream providers.
